Happy birthday, debabblog!
Today is the semi-official one-year anniversary of my first debabblog post, aptly titled Blogs debabbled. It also happens to be the anniversary of the launch date of my usability consultancy.First of all, many thanks to all of you have read and commented over the past year. All things considered, 2006 was a great first year. I'm not rolling in cash and working for myself has its share of challenges, but Tminus2 managed to squeak into the black, debabblog traffic is much stronger than I anticipated, I've met some great people, and I've learned a ton about usability and SEM, much of which I've been able to put to work for clients.
Of course, the blog itself has already come a long way from the original "debabbled" concept, where I broke down technobabble in plain language (or, at least that's the delusion I was under), but the shift to the broader world of usability really gets back to my roots, and has been a great direction for me. Anyway, speaking of babble, I'm starting to do just that, so thanks again, and I look forward to another year of learning and blogging about usability and all things web-related.
