PPC Contest to Benefit Myanmar
My friends over at London-based SEO firm Distilled have just launched a great contest for search engine marketers: who can create the best PPC ad to drive traffic to World Vision's Myanmar cyclone appeal. The Red Cross has estimated that the Myanmar death tool could top 120,000, and more aid is desperately needed. Here are the contest basics:
Write a blog post about the competition and include your ad in the copy- you should link to it in our comments so we know you want to enter. The purpose of your post is to spread the word about the Myanmar (Burma) cyclone appeal- there's no need to link to our blog (unless you really really want to!). To reiterate: over and above the actual ad campaign, your blog will help raise awareness.
You can find full contest details on their site. Prizes include professional SEO memberships and software/tools. So, exercise your creativity, benefit a worthy cause, and possibly win a prize, all at the same time. If you'd like to donate directly to the Myanmar cyclone appeal, please visit the World Vision or Red Cross website.
